About Me

Hi! My name is Michelle, and I'm definitely one of  a  kind.  What I mean by that is... I'm absolutely crazy! I was always the one getting put up to doing wacky things in   high school because none of the other kids   had enough guts to do it. We're talkin' truth or dare type kinda stuff here people! With   that being said... I've done a lot of growing up since high school, but one thing has remained the same: I'm wacky as can be!

I grew up in Chattanooga, TN and am one of 8 children. My 4 youngest siblings are adopted, so I have a HUGE place in my heart for adoption. I also have an older sister who has Downs Syndrome and a terminal illness called MoyaMoya. My other other older brother and sister, are pretty cool too.

I currently live in Jacksonville, Florida with my husband, Joel, son, Caleb, and our dog, Barkley. My son is also adopted, and is the biological brother to my adopted brothers and sisters! (Is your head done spinning yet? lol) I adopted my wonderful little man, and brought him home from the hospital when he was just 4 days old. Since then, my husband and I have been training him in the ways of Superman. As you can see...

In September of 2012 my husband, Joel, and I finally decided to take the leap and get married. Now... I briefly mentioned above our love for Superman, but what I didn't mention is that our wedding was Superman Themed! Don't worry, you'll get to see all the awesomely cool pictures of our wedding as the first post under my wedding ideas tab, so keep watching if it's not up already!

After we were blissfully married, my husband decided to join the United States Navy. This is when my blogging and entrepreneur ideas really started to take off. With my husband being gone most of the time, I really needed to be there a little more for our son, and focus on being a strong support system for him. Now working from home and being a Mother are my full time jobs! I am also part of the United States Navy Reserve which enables me to make my dreams of being a home business owner and stay at home mom a reality. Thank you, US Navy!

My Sailor!
My business actually began when I started planning my wedding. I was finding that things I wanted for my wedding didn't exist! I found myself making all of my decorations, the invitations, right down to fixing, and adding onto my custom cake topper so that it looked the way I wanted it to. I quickly started realizing that I could do a better job of making items than the ones I found in the store, and was willing to offer those items at a more reasonable price! So JM Bridal was born.

I would not be able to do what I have been  dreaming of doing for such a long time if it were  not for my wonderful husband, Joel. He is so  supportive of me in everything I do. He's been  behind me 110% from day 1 with my online bridal  shop, and cheers me on when I need it! So I just  wanted to say Thank you, Joel, for everything you  do for me as well as serving this wonderful  country we have the privilege of living in!
